Sooo... since i'm learning to paint... i thought i'd post my learnings on here... This is all experimentation but i think it's worth documenting... don't cha think? anywho... here is my first still life since high school... it's not as bad as i thought it would be... next step... painting PEOPLE!!! ohhhh...scaryyyy.

This is the beginning of a big picture i wanna draw of santa being pulled by his reindeer. I'm gonna start putting my name on everything so it can't be used illegally... aren't i fancy!! ha. This is another experiment in painting... (better than the cow i hope...stupid cow.)

After the whole Pushing Daisies incident i don't feel bitter at all.. i still like the show and watch it every wednesday...I do long for it though now and then. I'm glad we could stay friends after our breakup though... that's important. ;)

This girl i met

Okay.. so i met a in law of one of my future in laws and she was too cute for words!... so what do i do when i can't compete? I draw!!! I think i did a pretty good job of her.

My new logo?

I've been working on a simple logo for my freelance business and i just wanted to get people's opinions on what they think about this one...how does it make you feel? Would you trust this penguin with your life or does he look too suspicious? Does his chubby make him seem lazy? ha...no seriously.

Penguin Stands Alone???

I've had a few people ask me where i came up with Penguin Stands Alone... This is the sad truth of how it came it be....I've always loved penguins and then i "found out" that penguins are mates for life...(i know this isn't so...i'll get to that)...So i started calling my boyfriend, Penguin. We were "penguins" until we broke up...then i couldn't bare the thought of penguins because it had a sad connotation and i later found out they AREN'T mates for life and was sadly stricken with this information...Two years later i decided to start a blog....I still liked penguins but i didn't want the thought of the old boyfriend to come to mind every time i went to my blog..AND i was married to a new and WONDERFUL man...but i wanted this blog to be about my journey as a strong individual...Penguin Stands Alone came to mind and it just stuck....That's how i became Penguin Stands Alone. A little sad, a little happy.... all true.
